Why does my video play in a fast motion? (Time-Lapse)Updated 2 days ago
What is Time-Lapse recording?
Time-Lapse mode intentionally records video at a very low frame rate — capturing only 1, 2, or 4 frames per second instead of the standard 30fps. When these frames are played back at normal speed, everything appears to move much faster than real time.
This is a useful creative feature for things like watching clouds move across a sky or tracking long traffic patterns — but it is not suitable for standard dash cam recording, where you need accurate, real-time footage of road events.
