ROVE GPS Time Zone Setup

Set your ROVE dash cam time zone without the guesswork.

Follow this quick guide to set the correct GPS Time Zone on your ROVE dash cam, choose the right GMT value, and keep your video timestamps accurate.

What does GPS Time Zone Setting do?

There are two ways to set the date and time on your dash cam: manually or by using the GPS Time Zone setting.

With GPS time, the camera automatically adjusts the date and time based on the GPS signal it receives and the GMT/UTC offset you select.

Step-by-step setup

Set your GPS Time Zone value

Open System Settings

On your dash cam, stop recording if needed, then open the camera menu and go to System Settings.

Select GPS Time Zone Setting

Use the menu buttons to highlight GPS Time Zone Setting, then press OK/Confirm.

Choose your correct GMT value

Select the GMT value that matches your location. Use the USA GMT chart below as a quick guide.

Press OK to save

After choosing the correct GMT value, press OK/Confirm to save the setting.

Wait for GPS signal lock

Once your dash cam receives GPS signal, it will use your selected GMT time zone to display the correct date and time.

Important GPS time zone note

The GPS Time Zone setting will not automatically change when driving through different time zones. It only sets the accurate date and time based on the GMT time zone you selected.

Troubleshooting

If your date or time still looks wrong

Check the selected GMT value Make sure the GMT value matches your current time zone and Daylight Saving Time period.
Wait for GPS signal lock The dash cam needs GPS signal before it can update the date and time using the selected GPS Time Zone setting.
Update the setting after traveling If you travel to another time zone, manually update the GPS Time Zone setting to match your new location.
