ROVE Wi-Fi password

When your phone asks for the dash cam Wi-Fi password, enter 12345678. Keep the dash cam powered on and make sure a compatible microSD card is inserted before connecting.

⚠️

Important: “No Internet” is normal

The dash cam Wi-Fi is only used to connect your phone directly to the camera. It does not provide internet. If your phone says No Internet, stay connected to the ROVE Wi-Fi and return to the ROVE app.

  3. Look for the Wi-Fi icon or Wi-Fi name/password screen.

Touchscreen models

  1. Power on the dash cam.
  2. Open the Wi-Fi option from the camera screen or settings menu.

  5. Stay connected even if your phone says No Internet.

Android tip: If prompted, choose Always connect, Stay connected, or Don’t ask again → Yes. This allows your phone to stay connected to the dash cam even though the dash cam Wi-Fi has no internet.

Still not connecting?

Disable VPN or security apps

Temporarily turn off VPN, antivirus, ad blockers, private DNS, or Wi‑Fi security tools. These can block the local camera connection.

Turn off mobile data assistance

Disable settings such as Wi‑Fi Assist, Smart Network Switch, Adaptive Connectivity, or Auto Switch to Mobile Data while pairing.

Check app permissions

Make sure the ROVE app has all requested permissions. Missing Location or Local Network permissions can prevent the camera from appearing.

Keep devices close

Pair while standing near the vehicle. Avoid thick walls, metal barriers, or other electronics between your phone and the dash cam.

Update firmware after reconnecting

Once the app connects, check for firmware updates in the ROVE app. Firmware updates are delivered through the app for supported models.

Reset phone network settings

Use this only as a last resort because it removes saved Wi-Fi passwords. Then restart the phone and repeat the guide from Step 2.
