Should I format the memory card?Updated a year ago

If you regularly use the device, periodically format the memory card.

We recommend that you format the memory card every 2-3 weeks. This will wipe all the files from the card and set it up afresh for continued use with your Dash Cam. 

Of course, you should only do this "AFTER" you've downloaded all the important video files from the card that you may want to keep, as formatting the card will remove all content.

Regular formatting keeps your SD card operating at peak performance and reduces the chance of your files becoming corrupted.
