How to Hide the Status Icons on the LCD Screen

Want a cleaner, less distracting dash cam screen while driving? The Hide Status Icons setting lets your ROVE dash cam automatically remove the on-screen status icons after your selected timer period.

✅ This only hides the screen icons. Your dash cam will continue recording normally.

What this setting does

Hide Status Icons gives you a cleaner LCD screen

When enabled, the dash cam will automatically hide the status icons around the screen after the selected amount of time. This creates a cleaner viewing experience and helps reduce distraction while driving.

This setting does not stop recording and does not turn off the dash cam. It only changes what is shown on the LCD screen.

Step-by-step guide

How to enable Hide Status Icons

Step 1

Open settings

Open Video Settings

From the dash cam menu, go to the Video Settings section.

✅ Tip: If recording is active, stop recording first so the menu settings can be accessed.

Step 2

Select setting

Select Hide Status Icons

Scroll down through the Video Settings menu, then select Hide Status Icons.

Step 3

Choose timer

Choose a timer option

Select how long the dash cam should wait before automatically hiding the status icons.

EXAMPLE

If you select 1 Minute, the status icons will disappear after 1 minute of inactivity. If you press any button, the icons will temporarily reappear and the timer will restart.
