Before you begin
Back up important videos before formatting
Formatting the microSD card will permanently delete all recordings stored on the card. Before formatting, save any important videos to your phone, computer, or another storage location.
Once your files are saved, follow the instructions below based on your ROVE dash cam model.
Button-style ROVE models
For ROVE R2-4K, R2-4K PRO, R2-4K DUAL, and R2-4K DUAL PRO
Important Recommendation
Format every 3 months
✅ Format directly from the dash cam For best results, format the memory card using the dash cam menu instead of formatting it from a phone or computer.
🔁 Replace worn-out cards All memory cards have a limited lifespan. Continuous writing and rewriting can eventually wear out the card.
⚠️ Formatting deletes all files Download or save important videos before formatting the memory card.
